Continuing synergy with the ASEAN Secretariat, FASA participated in an exhibition showcasing the contributions of ASEAN Entities and Centres of Excellence as part of 59th ASEAN Day’s commemoration held on 8 August 2026 at the ASEAN Secretariat headquarters in Jakarta.
The event took up the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together” and brought together ASEAN Member States, ASEAN entities, and partner organisations. FASA has been granted the status of an ASEAN entity since 1981.
On that occasion, FASA was represented by the Indonesian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA), enabling FASA to engage with ASEAN officials, Permanent Representatives and Ambassadors to ASEAN, stakeholders, and fellow ASEAN entities.
FASA/INSA’s participation demonstrated the shipping industry’s contribution to the region’s economic growth and integration and underscored ASEAN shipowners’ continued support for ASEAN’s vision of a connected, resilient, and prosperous community, and reflected commitment to strengthening cooperation among shipowners’ associations across Southeast Asia.
